For Spring semester, 2018, the last day for a student to withdraw from a course with an automatic "W" rather than the mandatory "F" is Friday, March 30. On Saturday, March 31, the Mandatory "F" period begins. Rare exceptions can be approve after this date but only if the student is passing the course at the time of withdrawal and there are extenuating circumstances making it impossible for the student to continue to attend classes. You would be wise to discuss your grade with me well before that date if you are not succeeding in the course.
If you have trouble locating a textbook locally, try Amazon.com or Textbooks.com. The APSU Bookstore may be willing to meet any on-line price you can document for them.
Another cost-effective option available to students is the eBook, which is a subscription-based access to the text. Go to http://www.jblearning.com/catalog/9780763760397/.
